John Thelin, A History of American Higher Education
In addition to A History of American Higher Education, you will read a variety of primary sources. These readings can be found on the Course Documents page of the Blackboard web site. Consult the Course Schedule to learn when these readings will be discussed in class.
Under Course Documents you will also find a folder called Course Images and Music. Consult the Course Schedule to learn when these sources will be discussed in class.
ALL COURSE ASSIGNMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE DATE UPON THEY WILL BE DISCUSSED IN CLASS. YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO COME TO CLASS PREPARED TO DISCUSS WHAT YOU HAVE READ OR SEEN. PLEASE BRING TO CLASS A WRITTEN QUESTION OR COMMENT ABOUT EACH ASSIGNMENT. THE INSTRUCTOR WILL COLLECT (BUT NOT GRADE) THEM. IF POSSIBLE, USE A 4 x 6 CARD FOR YOUR QUESTION OR COMMENT ABOUT EACH ASSIGNMENT.
