RBC Development 2/4Basophilic Erythroblast
- The proerythroblast divides and matures to become the basophilic erythroblast. Its cytoplasm develops increasing numbers of ribosomes giving this cell the deepest blue color of all the developing RBCs or granulocytes. The nucleus continues to mature, becomes increasingly heterochromatic, and loses its nucleoli.
