Granulocyte Development - 5/5Juvenile, Band or Stab Cell
Juvenile, band or stab cells are latter stages of metamyelocytes. The nucleus is more indented, “sausage” shaped, just prior to developing the lobes of the mature cell. The cytoplasm is filled with specific granules (neutrophilic, eosinophilic or basophilic). Non-specific azure granules are few, poorly staining, and usually not seen.
