Read all assignments
Attend class regularly and participate actively (10% of grade)
Complete all assigned op ed paragraphs on documents (10%)

**One comparative book review, 5-10 (double-spaced) pages (30%)
* Documentation supporting requests for make-up examinations or extensions on the due-date for paper will be required.
**On two books on the history of U.S. foreign policy since 1920 selected by each student and not required for this course. Students must see me before Spring Recess so that I can approve their choices. The Paterson/Merrill and Schulzinger texts include helpful bibliographies, and Immermans "Big Ol0 bibliography can be found on this courses web page (and don't forget the library's "on line" catalog). Papers with grammatical or spelling mistakes will not be accepted.
