Week:1

 

Day 1

 

  • Introduction by Dr. Helferty

  • Movie and Quiz

  • Assigning the kits and checking all the items

  • Brief description of the program, final designs, kit modules

 

Day 2

  • Building basic robot structure

  • Introduction of Robolabs

  • Challenge: (moving fast, Dance on tunes , Completing a given track)

 

Day 3

  • Connecting light sensor& programming the robot

  • Task :- Finding exact value for different colors

  • Follow  the line

  • Remain inside the block

  • Challenge: Drag race for different color

  • Follow the Signal

 

Day 4

ˇ  Connecting the touch sensors and programming

ˇ  Task : Detecting  objects (Event based programming)

ˇ  Wall following

ˇ  Event based challenge

 

Day 5

  • Connecting temp sensor and rotational sensor

  • Finding angle and moving along

  • Identifying objects

  • Avoiding  Volcanoes and  Crevasses

  • Movie and Quiz

 

 

Week:2

 

Day 1

  • Building Bumpbot

  • Programming

  • Challenge: Sumo Wrestling

 

Day 2

  • Building Bugbot

  • Programming

  • Moving object out of marked area

 

Day 3

  • Building Dumpbot

  • Programming

  • Challenge: safety at cargo, avoiding hurdles, fast speed

 

Day 4

  • Building Steerbot

  • Programming

  • Building Diffbot

  • Programming

 

Day 5

  • Building Roverbot using light and touch sensors

  • Programming for different tasks

  • Speed walking

  • Steep climbing

  • Pushing and driving over ramp

  • Challenge: Maze

 

 

 

 

 

Week: 3

 

Day 1

  • Static Crane (constructing and programming in stages

 

Day 2

  • Contd  Day 1

  • Challenge picking Object of different color

  • Aligning in a line

  • Placing the box

  • Collecting cold object

 

Day 3

  •  Building Minerva and programming and testing for each sensor

 

Day 4

  • Similar challenges on day 2 but with movement

 

Day 5

  • Movie (Mars exploration )

  • Challenge: moving object through maze

  • Speed

  • Object recognition

 

 

Week: 4

Day 1

  • Building Delivery bot
  • Task construction and testing

 Day 2

  • Programming delivery bot
  • Delivering object at different docking station

 Day 3

  • Implementing Light and temp sensor
  • Task : identifying between hot and cold objects
  • Picking and following the line
  • Movie and Quiz

Day 4

  • Building a robotic hand and programming
  • Lifting and moving

Day 5

  • Contd. on tasks of Day 4
  • Lifting the ball and placing in the launcher

Week: 5

 

Day1

  • Building roverbot /Minerva/delivery bot

  • Programming for different tasks

 

Day 2

  • Contd from Day1

  • Programming and testing

 

Day 3

  • Coordinating all robots for different tasks

 

Day 4

  • Gearing up for the final challenge

 

Day 5
