Amanda Glazier

Amanda joined the lab as a postdoctoral fellow in the fall of 2016. She is broadly interested in genetic and evolutionary patterns in the deep sea. Her PhD work at the University of Massachusetts Boston focused on population genetic patterns of deep-sea bivalves. Her postdoctoral work in this lab will examine transcriptomic and genomic patterns in cold water corals in association with different stressors and from different regions of the world's oceans. This combines the evolutionary background of the DNA and the currently transcribed RNA to better understand how these corals are coping with different stressors and will be affected by future climate change.
