Interests: Effects of social interactions in early childhood on perceptions, economic decisions and subjective well-being. Neuro-economic experiments and policy interventions related to these interests.
Profile: Charlotte Phelps is a Professor of Economics Emerita at Temple University, a member of the Board of the Society for the Advancement of Behavioral Economics, and a Fulbright Senior Specialist. She was educated at Radcliffe College, Harvard University (A.B. 1955, magna cum laude in economics and Phi Beta Kappa) and Yale University (Ph.D. in Economics, 1961). Before joining the Temple faculty, she taught Economics at Connecticut College for Women and was a member of the research staff at the Cowles Foundation for Economics Research at Yale University. She is on the Fulbright Senior Specialists Roster.
