Program Structure and Format

Preliminary Program

The conference is designed to facilitate interaction between academicians and practitioners. The first day of the conference has a special structure. It begins with a keynote address followed by a series of panel discussions involving both academic researchers and business leaders. The program also allows for time between sessions for more informal discussions among participants.

The remaining two days of the conference will focus on academic research. Interested practitioners are also invited to this part of the conference. This conference is designed to enable discussion of current unpublished work and new research topics. The program format consists of a series of paper presentations followed by discussant comments, and extended breaks between sessions to continue the discussion.

A special feature will be a hands-on tutorial session offered by Professors Rajiv Banker and Subhash Ray to introduce the basic concepts of DEA as well as some new advances in the method useful for managerial insights and rigorous policy analysis. This tutorial will be free for all registered participants in the conference, but due to limited seats will be restricted on a first-come-first-served sign-up basis.
