Fun Facts and Tips

The main reason that I went to Germany was to visit a friend of mine (Susi) who I met while she was a foreighn exchange student at my high school.  Germany was a great trip because I went with a close friend of mine and we got to meet Susi’s family and see the town she grew up in.  My friend and I went on several day trips while Susi was in school so we were able to see many of Germany’s cities.  I am really glad that we planned a trip to the Dachau Concentration Camp, which is about two hours outside of Munich, because although it was a very disturbing and sorrowful place I thought it was very interesting to be able to witness a piece of history that made up a huge part of WWII.  I was in Germany for 10 days and I went during the summer of my senior year of high school.

The itinerary for Germany was a little less formal since our days were not pre-planned and we were responsible for how we spent our time.  Also, because I made the big mistake of not keeping a thourough journal I can not tell you specifically what we did during each day but I can tell you the cities and the things we saw!
