Sweat gland, thick skin,-low & high mag
Portions of the coiled end of the duct and secretory portion of the gland, supported by loose ct, are cut in cross-section. Ducts are a purple-staining, two-layered stratified cuboidal epithelium. The secretory portion is formed by a row of pale pink, columnar cells having complex apical, lateral and basal infoldings of the plasma membrane; the latter push the nucleus to the center of the cell. Just inside the basement membrane of the secretory portion are pinker contractile myoepithelial cells.
