Sweat glands, thick skin, - low & med. mag.
Sweat glands are simple, coiled tubular glands whose undulating duct extends from the surface of the st. corneum, through the epidermis & dermis to the fat-filled hypodermis. The secretory portion and the initial segment of the duct, located deep in the dermis and hypodermis, are highly coiled so multiple sections of both portions are seen in a tight ball.
