Pacinian corpuscle, thick skin,- low & med mag.
Pacinian corpuscles are large, pressure and vibration-sensitive, lamellated, encapsulated nerve endings located deep in the dermis and hyopdermis. As with the Meissner’s corpuscle the myelinated nerve fiber loses its myelin and enters this onion-like wrapping of cells. The concentric lamellae are composed of fibroblast-like cells, collagen and fluid.
