Beneath the thin capsule of irregular ct is the endothelial-lined subcapsular sinus. Bridging across the space are stellate or elongated reticular cells. In the sinus are small lymphocytes (small round dense nuclei) and macrophages (abundant irregular cytoplasm with vacuoles).
