Thyroid gland, ductless endocrine, - med. mag.
The thyroid will represent the endocrine glands here. Secretory units are simple follicles composed of a simple low cuboidal epithelium. Secretory product is stored in the center of the follicle until signaled to be withdrawn. It is then passed through the cells of the follicle and released into the abundant capillary network around each follicle. There are no ducts.
