Clusters of dark-staining simple columnar secretory cells form acinar clusters (circle) in this plastic section. The secretory granules (G) are massed at the apex of the cells and drain to a tiny lumen. Small ducts (SD) drain to larger ducts (LD) within the secretory lobule. Beyond the lobule are larger ducts.
