Duodenum, villus, simple columnar epithelium, - high mag.
This simple columnar epithelium consists of two cell types, goblet & absorptive cells. Goblet cells have clear drop of mucus apically; absorptive cells have a brush border composed of microvilli. The density just below the brush border is the terminal web composed of microfilaments which insert into the zona occludens of the junctional complex.
