The Imaging and Pattern Recognition (IPR) Laboratory is
within Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, College of Engineering
at Temple University, Philadelphia. The mission is to research and develop
intelligent techniques in image processing and pattern recognition for broad
application areas that include biomedical diagnostics and homeland security.
Current research projects lie in the area of fusion of visible and thermal
infrared images for enhanced biometric identification and surveillance, hyperspectral imaging for medical diagnostics and food
safety, multisensory image registration and fusion, and Terahertz imaging and
spectroscopy for threat detection from a distance.
Areas of research include:
■
Thermal
Infrared Imaging for Personal Identification and Surveillance
■
Signal
Restoration in Terahertz Imaging and Spectroscopy
■
