  • Price Watch4 out of 5 searches for computer products on the Web. Shows comparison prices.
  • Shopper4 out of 5 from CNet, has a great computer products search engine and comparison page.
  • CompareNet4 out of 5 - incomparable comparisons. Includes product information, side-by-side comparisons, reviews, etc.
  • Deja.com4 out of 5 gives you reviews written by the public collected from news groups. A little hard to navigate but worth a visit.
  • Consumer World4 out of 5 has links to all kinds of consumer resources. They have a great list of links to comparison sites, a price checker, links to sites showing what's on sale at brick and mortar stores, etc. Plus, they have a very large list of links to bargain sites4 out of 5.
  • Respond.com4 out of 5 You tell them what you are looking for and they send your request out to a bunch of sellers who will contact you. Very good service.
  • Buy It Online - search for a site that sells your desired item and then buy it. A searchable index is included. This site is supposed to be good at finding offbeat items such as handicrafts and specialty foods.
  • Computer Shopper from ZDNet, will search for an item and give you side-by-side comparison prices that it found at various sites on the Web. Mostly computers and accessories.
  • PriceScan4 out of 5 If you buy computer equipment online, PriceScan may save you some time. You enter the equipment you want, a manufacturer if you prefer one, and a price you want to pay, and it will give you the lowest priced web retailer it can find.
  • mySimon searches for items in a bunch of categories although the selection of items within a category can be very limited.
  • C|Net's Comparison is useful when looking for a good price on computer related equipment.
  • RoboShopper will search for goods available to you on the Web.
  • Shopping Bots - useful if you already know what you want and just want the lowest price.
  • eSmarts has a collection of up-to-date reviews of shopping sites.
  • DealTime - you select a category and enter what you're looking for and this bot goes out and finds it for you. Shows comparison pricing. Good search engine.
  • Shopbot will help you find specific goods.
  • Deal Pilot does comparison shopping for books, music, and videos.
  • AddAll searches for book prices in thiry online book stores.
  • AllBookStores does an excellent job of searching for book prices online book stores.
  • Shopping List You enter your zip code and select a shopping category and this shopping bot returns with a list of items in the selected category on sale in stores in your area.
  • LycoShop will give comparison prices and has a filter on its search that allows you to define your preferences and features for specific products
  • Monitors 101 has some nice info on monitors and their characteristics.
  • Active Buyers Guide finds products and reviews based on your preferences.
  • Shopping Sleuth will find information on the product that you are considering. Most of the information is public opinion but also have more solid reviews and comparisons.
  • Health Product Price compares prices of health products at various e-stores.
  • Best Web Buys is a search engine for various products but is especially useful for finding low prices on books.

  • CD Universe5 stars has a great selection. Along with a list of CD's, a search for a particular artist will display a list of similar artists and a list of artistic roots. Good prices.
  • Reel.com5 stars sells video tapes.
  • CDNow has a bunch of music CD's for purchase and industry gossip for reading. Has all kinds of info on recording artists and music including a music dictionary, suggestions on how to build a classical music library, etc.
  • Half.com has discounted pricing on CD's, videos, books, and games.
  • Imix allows you to create your own CD.
  • Music Maker sells compilations and single song CD's.
  • CD World has a good selection.

  • Zillow.com Based on some unknown and proprietary algorithm, Zillow attempts to tell you what your home, or any home in your neighborhood, is worth.
  • Home.com - property search (very few matches on test search), rental search, calculators, tips and advice.
  • HomeSeekers - property search (only a few matches on test search), foreclosure listings, information on neighborhoods, tips and advice.
  • RealEstate.com - property search (you can only search by large metro areas not municipalities), moving, insurance, etc.
  • Realtor.com - sponsored by National Association of Realtors - property search (best number of matches), moving, insurance .
  • HomeScout permits you to search its database for a house in a specific location or price range.
  • Home Hunter is sponsored by Philly News. You can search its database for property for sale or you can specify what you are looking for and they will e-mail you when it shows up. They deal in all types of real estate including rentals. They also have videos of homes for sale.
  • Owners Network sells houses directly through the owners.
  • Home Fair - info on buying a home, moving, etc. Includes calculators, city reports, search databases, etc. Includes a number of useful calculators.
  • IRED is the International Real Estate Directory which has sections for each county within state.
  • Microsoft's HomeAdvisor helps you find a home that meets your preferences.
  • Realtor.com helps you find a home or neighborhood that meets your preferences. The site also has other info associated with home buying. There is a section for southeastern Pennsylvania.
  • Cyber Homes lists homes for sale. You enter an address and a radius, and it will list the homes for sale. Sounds better than it actually works. Very few homes listed but you can get demographic info on neighborhood.
  • QuickenMortgage is a great site for information and calculations related to financing the purchase of a home.
  • ListNet - lists only a few houses but gives Tiger census data of area.
  • Financenter has a number of very useful calculators including one that estimates closing costs.
  • 4WallsinPhilly has information on renting in Philadelphia.
  • Apartments.com has an effective search engine with plenty of options.
  • Apartment Guide - apartment search, furniture, moving, etc.
  • Rent Net helps you find an apartment.
  • Interest.com has interest rates from across the country.
  • Quicken Mortgage Rate/Point comparison is a decision helper.
  • Quicken Mortgage and Home Financing has a bunch of decision helpers and calculators.
  • APBNews Crime Rating - you enter a zip code and it give you a map and general crime rating for how safe the area is.
  • Interest.com compares various mortgage types and rates, has a refinancing section, advice, calculators, etc.
  • Mortgage Bankers Association has mortgage news, advice, tips, tools, etc.
  • HomeFair has a lot of info on moving, where to live, cost of living calculators, geographical comparisons, city reports, etc.
  • Housingmaps.com is a graphical tool that shows you rentals and homes for sale in selected areas.
