Jagan Krishnan (Krish), Ph.D., CA, CICA |
Jagan Krishnan joined the department of accounting in 1991. He teaches undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses in auditing. He is one of six participants who represented Temple University in American Association for Higher Education (AAHE) Peer Review Project. He is the recipient of the 2003 Musser Award for Excellence in Leadership in Teaching and the Beta Alpha Psi Teacher of the Year 2000 Award. His research interests are in the areas of auditor switching, audit opinion formulation, audit quality, auditor litigation, and fraudulent financial reporting. He has published articles in academic accounting journals including the Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance and Asia Pacific Journal of Accounting and Economics. He is the Coordinator of the Accounting Ph.D. program and Cochair of the Stanley Merves Accounting Research Seminar Committee. He serves on the editorial boards of Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory and Current Issues in Auditing. Prior to entering academia, he has worked in audit and consulting divisions of firms that were affiliated with Ernst & Young and KPMG. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA).
