Biography

Dr. Jongmoo Jay Choi is Laura H. Carnell Professor of Finance and International Business at Temple University. He has graduated from Seoul National University and has an MBA and Ph.D. from New York University. He is a doctoral advisor in international business, a former chair of finance, and a member of the faculty council for the Center for International Business Education and Research. He teaches international finance and corporate finance. He is a recipient of Musser Award for Excellence in Leadership, and has been inducted to the Research Roundtable. He was on the faculty of Columbia Business School, an international economist at Chase Manhattan Bank, and a visiting faculty at International University of Japan, KAIST, Yonsei, University of Hawaii, UPenn Wharton, and NYU Stern. He is a former president of Korea-America Finance Association and a trustee of Multinational Financial Society. As an author of numerous articles, books and presentations, he is an internationally renowned scholar in international business finance, corporate governance and finance, global corporate risk management, emerging market finance, and international capital markets. He is a founding editor of International Finance Review, and an editor of Journal of Economics and Business, and is on editorial boards for nine journals.
