Damaraju Raghavarao is Laura H. Carnell Professor of Statistics and currently the Chair of the Department of Statistics. He has made significant contributions to the analysis, combinatorics and applications of experimental designs. He has published 7 books and more than 100 refereed articles, and supervised 21 doctoral dissertations. He received the Khan Bahadur H. M. Malak Gold Medal in 1957 from Nagpur University (India) and the Paul W. Eberman Research Award in 1995 from Temple University. He is an elected Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics and American Statistical Association, and an elected member of The International Statistical Institute.
