My Friend Henri

We all gain and lose friends through out our life. Some people have a list of friends that seem to go on forever. Others have only one or two. If you count the number of people that have a great impact on your life, you will probably find that you can use one hand and have some fingers left over. Only the truely fortunate have a person that has an impact on our life in a profound way. For me, Henri was that person. As my teacher at Temple, he helped me grow an appreciation for computers and education. He taught me how to figure problems out on my own. The famous life lesson, "give a man a fish and he eats for a day, but teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime," is exactly the one that applies to me. He was the teacher in all my college studies that taught me to "fish". Most importantly he helped me to find the career path that I would eventually take and not only got me through the door, but pushed me in as well. As my friend, he introduced me to flying planes and to one day get my pilot's license. He was my mentor and I owe many of my accomplishments to him. I lost my best friend and I will remember him always.

A poem dedicated to Henri Wiesel and his family & friends.

Thanks for all that you done and for being my friend Henri.
