Aims and Scopes
China Tourism Research (CTR) aims to publish cutting-edge research on tourism related to and about China. More specifically, it aims to: provide a forum for exchange of information and ideas among academics and practitioners who are interested in tourism in China; foster and enhance research activities that advance the knowledge of tourism; and discuss the relevance of tourism research to our society. The journal encourages inter-disciplinary scholarship and commentaries, aims at the highest intellectual level and only publishes manuscripts that make significant contributions to the subject areas.

China Tourism Research publishes articles in both Chinese and English. The content coverage includes all areas of tourism research related to Greater China, and welcomes papers from academics, researchers and practitioners in such areas as sustainable tourism development, heritage and cultural tourism, tourism impacts, competition, tourism demand modelling and forecasting, tourism marketing and consumer behaviour, MICE tourism (meeting, incentive, convention and exhibition), gaming, leisure/recreation, e-tourism and distribution, nature based tourism, financial and fiscal systems, management styles in the service sector, comparative tourism studies, tourism and hospitality education, human resources management, business strategy, culture and ethics, hotel management, and other forms of tourism.
