Clark Hu is an enthusiastic educator and researcher with experiences in hospitality sales/marketing, consulting, and education. He has been with Temple University's School of Tourism and Hospitality Management after his graduate education in both the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University and the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Clark has published in a variety of journals and presented many conference papers based on his research work. He was also a two-time Best Paper Award winner in the annual International CHRIE (Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education) conferences in Marketing and Technology areas.
His recent publications can be found in Journal of Travel Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Research, Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Education. Clark has been a member of many professional associations, including TTRA (Travel & Tourism Research Association), I-CHRIE, HSMAI (Hospitality Sales & Marketing International), ISTTE (International Society of Travel and Tourism Educators), HFTP (Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals), etc. His recent research focus has been on knowledge management to study and develop systems for knowledge creation, transfer, sharing, and coordination in tourism & hospitality industries with particular interests in managing security and risk issues.
