Opportunities to Get Involved
Temple Students: As you may know, next year will be full of change. We will have a new President, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Vice Provost, football coach and basketball coach. Now more than ever before, we will need student leaders who are prepared to contribute to Temple Student Government for the betterment of the University. That is why we are reaching out to you, members of the student body, to take charge of the future of the school. We will be accepting letters of intent for the chairperson’s positions for the different committees of TSG from now until May 19, 2006.

Student Life
Deals specifically with issues that students present concerning student affairs and reviews different policies that affect the student body. This committee will also be instrumental in the continuing development of school spirit.
Academic Affairs
Deals specifically with issues that students present concerning academic affairs. This committee evaluates advising problems, professors, and curriculum on campus.
Diversity Affairs
Evaluates incoming admissions to the University and works to assures that diversity on campus is preserved and well represented. This committee works closely with the Office of Admissions and with the newly formed Office of Multi-Cultural Affairs.
Intercampus Affairs
Responsible for effective communication between Temple University’s Main Campus and the satellite campuses, Ambler and Tyler. They also assure that all students are equally heard and their concerns are brought forward.
Community Service
Organizes different community service initiatives in and around Temple University’s campuses (Main, Health Sciences, etc.)
Internal Operations
Closely monitors the operations of all committees, members, and organizations within Temple Student Government. Responsible for impeachment hearings as well as allocation appeals.
Student Trustee
Attends meetings with the Board of Trustees and reports the results to the general assembly. The Student Trustee has the charge to serve as the student voice within the Board of Trustees.
Environmental Affairs
Works to improve and maintain environmentally protective resources and the overall look of the surrounding neighborhoods. This committee must also work to ensure that environmental guidelines are followed.
University Resources
Analyzes different resources that are available to students and evaluates the effectiveness of these resources and/or departments.
Allocations
Reviews all allocations applications for approval, rejection, or adjustments.
Historical Committee
Responsible for the documentation the different events that happen on campus throughout the year using picture or film.
Office Assistant
Will work at a scheduled time and serve as the first line of communication for the TSG office. The Office Assistant will direct people to the proper resources and is in charge of office maintenance.
Office Manager
Is in charge of hiring and setting the schedules for the times that the office assistants work. Also manages the inventory of supplies and the general look of the office.
