Conferences

  • The International Data Envelopment Analysis Society (iDEAs) announces a change in its forthcoming conference.  Regrettably, due to a health emergency involving key organizers in Brazil, the conference scheduled in Rio de Janeiro for January 2009 has been cancelled. 
  • The next conference will be scheduled in Philadelphia, USA from July 10 to 12, 2009. The deadline for submission of papers will be January 22, 2009 and acceptances will be notified by March 15, 2009. Delegates requiring early acceptances need to submit their papers by December 22, 2008 to get a notification by February 15. To get more information about the conference, submission of papers and registration, please click on http://astro.temple.edu/~banker/dea2009.html
  • The conference will be held at the new building of the Fox School of Business and Management, Temple University in Philadelphia.
  • Recently, the International DEA Society organized a conference on July 4-5, 2008 at the Imperial College in London, England.   It focused on the applications of frontier analysis in the banking, insurance, fund management and other organizations in the financial sector. Selected papers among those presented at the conference will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Banking and Finance.
