APPLICATIONS OF LABAN-BASED CONCEPTS AND METHODOLOGIESCALL FOR PRESENTATIONS PAPERS, WORKSHOPS & PANELS
The organizers of the 2005 International Council of KinetographyLaban invite members and interested individuals to submit proposalsfor papers, workshops and panels on applications of Laban-basedsystems including, but not limited to, Labanotation, Laban MovementAnalysis, Motif Description and Dynamics, in areas such as movementresearch, dance documentation, technology, cultural studies,stylistic analysis, teaching (in both dance and interdisciplinarystudies), performance, directing from score, compositional process,etc.

The papers or abstracts will be published in the ICKL Proceedingsafter the event.The time available for presentations is 30 minutes, inclusive ofquestion and discussion period (generally 10 minutes are suggestedfor questions and discussion). More time may be available forworkshops and panels.1.

Please submit an abstract of your paper, a description of the workshop or a description of the panel including prospectivepanelists, to the Secretary.Proposals should be postmarked no later than November 15, 2004. Decisions regarding the presentations will be mailed out by December 2004.2. Proposals should be of no more than 1 page in length, and shouldinclude the name, address, phone number, fax number and e-mail (ifavailable) of the author, as well as space and equipment needs.3. If using notation to illustrate your presentation, examples on anaccompanying page should be included with your submission.
