Final Project Assignment
Multimedia Production
November 12, 2004
For your Final Project, please come to class on 11/19 with a well-developed proposal for your project. The project is open in terms of its subject matter, and might be a continuation of a previous project from this semester or a comletely new project. However, proposal MUST include the following components:

1) a Diagram of the Site as planned.

Please consult these links (also listed on the class schedule for today) for Information Architecture:

2) A one-page treatment of the narrative and/or informational concept of the site.

Please read Chapter 6, “Show and Tell” in Understanding Comics, and create a work of multimedia for disk and/or web, in which you explore the relationship of image and text. If your site is more completely visual, then discuss the way that your images will create a narrative. Explore the impact you are trying to create with multiple storylines, quotations, found images, and different combinations of word and image, etc. If your site is more informational, discuss the experience you are trying to create with your presentation of information and media.

3) Include a URL for an on-screen design of the first page of your site. Include a link for a brief verbal description of how the design of this first page will be carried throughout the site. Also include a link for a brief verbal description of the interaction design/navigation of the site and the user experience you are trying to create.

The design of your interface, the interaction design and the architecture of the site are of the utmost importance. Be sure to have a clear concept of all design issues before you start to produce the site. A diagram, one-page treatment and screen design, addressing all of the issues discussed above, is due on November 19.
