Mission
The mission of the International Data Envelopment Analysis shall be to encourage and stimulate interest in the development and application of the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) methodology for the benefit of researchers and users of DEA and the public in the following ways:
- Promote and provide education in the art and science of DEA including organization of classes and course materials and dissemination of grants and scholarships;
- Facilitate, coordinate and advise on the development or implementation DEA based systems for performance evaluation and policy analysis;
- Sponsor conventions, symposiums, and other events of interest;
- Provide research opportunities through the collection of empirical data and conceptual papers and by bringing together DEA researchers and practitioners;
- Promote, sponsor and manage websites, journals and newsletters to disseminate information about the DEA methodology;
- Collaborate with individuals, corporations, universities, public agencies and other institutions to stimulate interest in the DEA methodology;
- Sponsor and support general, special interest and educational chapters of the corporation worldwide.
